What is a private investigator?

How do you hire a private investigator?
Hiring a PI should be similar to hiring any other professional. You should expect to receive a detailed instruction agreement, costings and terms & conditions. We offer free no obligation advice and quotations.
Are private investigators licensed?
Depending on where PIs are based and operate a license may or may not be required, each country has its own specific legislation. We are licensed private investigators in the Republic of Ireland however, there are no licensing requirements currently in the United Kingdom.
How to choose a private investigator?
We understand that there are many PI firms out there to choose from and that it can be daunting deciding who to speak with! The important thing is that YOU must feel comfortable with the PI you hire, do not be afraid to ask questions and check credentials.
For Countries where licensing is not mandatory, most credible detective agencies would have an active membership with a recognised professional investigation association, which would be verifiable online. EU/UK law requires businesses to display their full business registration details on their websites, usually in the footer.
