Wednesday 22 February 2017 – Vehicle Tracking and Data Protection in Ireland

The Private Security Authority issues an information note of data protection and vehicle trackers, which quotes the following legislation:

“Section 2A of the Data Protection Acts sets down the conditions which must be met for the processing of personal data. These include the condition that the consent of the data subject must be obtained. Vehicle trackers are deemed to be a means by which personal data may be obtained in respect of a vehicle driver. Vehicle trackers may only be used where the consent of the data subject has been obtained. “

Monday 10 October 2016 – Priority Investigations Northern Ireland And Ireland Franchise Licence Changes Hand

Priority Investigations are happy to announce that Intercity Reliant Ltd completed the buyback of the franchise licences for Northern Ireland, Donegal, Ireland East and Ireland South from SMD Associates Ltd. SMD had operated the Priority Investigations brand in Northern Ireland since 1999 and Ireland from 2007.

Priority Investigations founder Ian Withers was elected the first region VIII international director for National Association of Legal Investigators in the United States at the recent NALI conference in Atlanta Georgia, USA. The annual conference and educational event was also attended by John Withers, MD of Priority Investigations.
