About Our DNA Paternity Test Services
Priority Forensics offer two types of DNA Paternity Testing, which one will be suitable for you will depend upon the purpose of your tests results. Each will require,
- An appropriate DNA sample from the father and the child.
- A sample from the mother, if available, will reduce the time taken to complete the test and the cost of the test itself.
Self Collection DNA Paternity Testing UK:
Also known as ‘In-home’ or ‘peace of mind’ self collection DNA testing is used mainly to satisfy your own concerns regarding the paternity of an individual and cannot be used as part of any legal process.
Cost:
£125. If a sample from the mother is not available then there will be an additional £25 charge. Additional children can be added at a cost of £25 per child (up to a maximum of 5) (Plus VAT at the Standard rate)
Legal DNA Paternity Testing UK:
Characterised by how the samples are collected legal DNA paternity testing requires a strict chain of custody procedure that allows results to be legally presented in court.
This type of testing is mainly used in family law cases as a means of settling child support or custody cases, but is also a requirement for immigration DNA testing.
Cost:
£250 for the DNA test plus a £50 collection fee (UK only). If a sample from the mother is not available then there will be an additional £25 charge. Additional children can be added at a cost of £25 pre child (up to a maximum of 5) (Plus VAT at the Standard rate)
